To make your RentMy shop visible at your own web address (like www.yourshop.com
), you’ll need to update something called a DNS record with your domain registrar (the company where you bought your domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or others).
Don’t worry—you don’t need to be technical. Just follow the steps below.
DNS records are like instructions that tell the internet where to send people when they type in your domain.
@
(your main domain, like yourshop.com
) and www
(your subdomain, like www.yourshop.com
).www
.3.141.141.45
This tells visitors who type www.yourshop.com
to go to your RentMy shop.
If you want customers to reach your shop when they type just yourshop.com
(without the “www”), you can also update the A Record for the @ host:
@
.3.141.141.45
After a little time has passed:
www.yourshop.com
.If you get stuck, don’t worry. Your domain registrar’s support team can usually help walk you through updating your DNS records. Just tell them:
“I need to update my A Record for
www
(and optionally@
) to point to 3.141.141.45.”
They’ll know what to do.
👉 Tip: Once you’ve made these changes, your RentMy shop will always be available at your custom domain.
